Sloe Plum
Schlehe

The sloe plum is a genus of trees related to the plum family. White blossoms appear in spring and grow into a small, round, dark blue to black pitted fruit. Our sloe plums grow in the wilds of Eastern Europe. They are harvested by hand once they have ripened to perfection. The fruits are shipped to our distillery, where we mash them instantly.

The natural fermentation process of the additive-free mash begins quickly within a few hours. After careful double distillation, the treasured middle cut then matures for a minimum of five years in open glass balloons. Our sloe plum brandy is strong and mature with fine bitter and marzipan flavors and a touch of plum.
