Our principles

1 Only flawless fruit from the best regions.

Our fruit brandies are only made from pure fruit. Selecting the best varieties and best cultivation regions requires great care and vigilance.

2 We agree on the way of cultivation, work conduct and harvest method with each grower.

Many aspects require close attention, such as selecting the finest orchards, ideal micro-climate, optimum weather and general conditions for growing fruit. If conditions are less than ideal, we will not harvest that particular year, as the fruit no longer meets our strictest standards required to produce a first-class brandy.

3 Strict cleanliness is an absolute must during the entire prodcution process.

We guarantee that only flawless fruit – ripened to perfection on the tree, healthy and harvested with great care – is processed by hand into high quality mash for fermentation.

4 We ferment the fruit naturally.

Our fruit mash is all natural. We never add any chemical additives, sugar or artificial yeast to the process in keeping with our strictest quality standards.

5 We transform the mash into fruit brandy as slowly and gently as possible.

Following an old tradition, we distil the fermented mash twice to carefully separate a variety of high and low spirits from the finished and clean middle cut. To produce one liter of our precious fruit brandy, we use up to 80kg (175 pounds) of fruit.

6 Our brandy matures slowly over several years to the point of perfection.

Our fruit brandies age and mature for up to twelve years in our brandy cellar, following an old Tyrolean tradition. Over time alcohol and fruit flavors combine and balance to a harmonious unity.

7 We closely monitor the distilled spirits during the entire production process.

To guarantee the highest level of quality, strict quality control is required. We thus analyze and taste the distilled spirits regularly during the entire production and aging process.

8 Rochelt fruit brandy is unfiltered.

Its careful maturation allows us to minimize the amount of added spring water and keep the strength at a minimum of 50 percent (100 proof) by volume. Our fruit brandy is always crystal clear yet unfiltered to attain the depth and intensity of the authentic fruit flavors.

9 Rochelt is strong, yet comforting and smooth.

Our fruit brandy remains high in alcohol, yet smooth in taste, thanks to its age. While bouquet is contained in the glass, the palate benefits from an amazing concentration of exquisite fruit flavors.
